Mommy's Reflections on two months
Again, look how much she's grown. She will probably never again grow this much in one month as a percentage of her total body massKind of amazing to think about.
As I started back to work, it was hard to leave her at home, but I was comforted that daddy is staying home with her for this month. It just melts my heart when I come home and she greets me with big smiles.
We celebrated our 10th Anniversary at the beginning of the month. We went to Beaver Creek and Kiri did really well all weekend. She enjoys the mountains, her namesake.
It was a joy having my sister, Briana, visit. She was a huge help, gave some excellent parenting pointers and our house looks so great. Can't tell you the last time the blinds got cleaned. We really appreciate her husband and 14-month-old allowing us to have her for 6 days.
As we have ventured out to more events, it has been a delight to introduce Kiri to friends and coworkers. Kiri spent a whole afternoon with me at work and went to work with daddy for a few hours too.
We are enjoying family walks in the cool of the evening. Kiri really loves looking out at us and the scenery from her stroller.
Father's Day was very special as we also dedicated Kiri at our church. It was special having friends and family to celebrate. She looked adorable in her little formal dress.
In her first weeks of life, we worked so hard to help Kiri grow from her lowest weight of 6lbs 1oz. It is hard to believe that I'm already understanding the desire to have her pause in her growing and just be my little baby a bit longer.
